AE is seeking to appoint a UK Head of Commercial Partnerships to drive growth in the region and provide AE with a more visible customer-focused presence in the territory.

Head of Commercial Partnerships

The Head of Commercial Partnerships (UK) will primarily be focused on growing the UK business, assisting and supporting the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Commercial Director (CD) in sourcing new business and diversifying revenue streams.

They will take the lead on selected projects as a client’s primary point of contact alongside AE’s team of Project Managers (PMs) and act as the conduit to AE’s development and production teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Help develop AE’s commercial pipeline in the UK, with a principal focus on identifying new opportunities and growing revenue from within existing customer relationships
  • Act as a client facing, commercial manager for existing UK clients
  • Assist CCO and CD in actively seeking and pursuing leads in new markets and identifying areas to upsell new products and services
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities and areas for innovation
  • Responsible for revenue forecasts, pipeline reporting and other administration requirements
  • Acquire and maintain a good knowledge and understanding of relevant AE products and services
  • Play a key role in creating and managing responses to ITTs and RFPs and own the creation and distribution of commercial proposals for existing AE Live UK customers
  • Contribute to discussions around overall commercial strategy
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to promote and raise AE profile, identifying suitable and relevant opportunities to pursue

    Core Requirements for the Role

  • Commercial acumen with a proven track record of generating new business
  • Demonstrable experience of upselling into existing customers
  • Experience of selling similar technology solutions (or working customer side with technology) or can demonstrate examples of their approach to understanding new concepts and presenting them to clients
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong command of the English language (spelling & grammar)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with commercial models and defining negotiation parameters

    • Other Requirements for the Role

  • Minimum 7 years experience
  • Demonstrable experience of forming commercial partnerships with other suppliers
  • Has previously contributed to RFP and ITT responses
  • Previous experience or knowledge of the broadcast industry an advantage, particularly with existing connections
  • Has used CRM systems and is able to take responsibility for pipeline forecasting
  • Has an interest in/passion for sport
  • Organised, punctual and have an exceptional level of concentration
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations
  • Compliance with all AE company policies
  • Prepared to travel for business as required
