AE Live (AE) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Jones as the new General Manager of its Australian office.
Ben joins AE with over 15 years of experience within the broadcast industry. Having freshly graduated from university, Ben took up his first role in 2004 working as Production Assistant for Channel Nine where he was involved in the production of a number of high-profile sports including rugby league, horse racing and cricket.
He later joined Fox Sports in 2010 as Senior Producer of their rugby coverage and eventually earned the position of Executive Producer of NRL. His work during this time saw him awarded the ASTRA TV Professional of the Year in 2016. Ben’s rise continued at Fox Sports and he was later appointed as General Manager in 2018, overseeing the entire production from a business perspective.
Ben now joins AE at a very exciting time for the company having recently acquired APAC based Ignite, who now acts as its in-house creative agency. On his decision to join AE, Ben commented, “Prior to applying for the role I had heard very positive things about AE from my colleagues working on cricket for Fox and NRL for Nine. AE have always struck me as a very professional organisation so after speaking to AE’s senior management about the Ignite acquisition and the exciting plans for Australia, it was a hard one to turn down.
One of the main attractions about AE is its global nature. Its footprint touches several different areas of the globe and being able to perform on the international stage with major international clients was hugely appealing.”
Ben continues, “The hard work starts now in what is a very exciting period for AE. I have already been so impressed with the talented people that AE possesses and I look forward to working with each and every one of them as we excel in the domestic market and reaffirm our position as industry leaders.”
