Overview
We are looking for a Virtual Graphics Technician to deliver and support AE Live’s Augmented Reality (AR) & Virtual Studio (VS) broadcast graphics services. To meet our clients’ needs we need to be across various systems, so the ability to master multiple platforms is essential.

The role will see you working within a wide variety of cutting-edge broadcast environments delivering virtual studios, AR graphics and camera tracking solutions. This will involve rigging and configuring systems within television production facilities, integrating with a range of camera systems including jibs, wirecams, drones and Steadicams. You will become a key member of the production team, guaranteeing, and operating our virtual graphics systems, working with directors and producers to help realise their ambitions.

This role will see you based in the UK, travelling domestically and internationally to deliver premium events such as FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, Cricket World Cup, and UEFA Champions League.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and operate live broadcast virtual graphics platforms.

Setup and calibrate camera tracking systems.

Communicate technical requirements with external parties.

Testing virtual graphics content and providing feedback to the creative / build team.

Assist and guide directors, producers and camera operators for virtual graphics composition.

Maintain project documentation & system diagrams.

Provide internal training & supporting documentation.

Frontline support for team members.

Maintenance of production logs & issue escalation to 3rd party suppliers.

Hardware and software installation and configuration.

Required Skills

3+ years’ experience delivering broadcast graphics, virtual studios, XR stages or equivalent.

Experience with camera tracking solutions.

At ease in a live production environment.

Ability to confidently communicate with technical and editorial team members.

Able to adjust to changing requirements and remain composed under pressure.

Enhanced computer skills and IT knowledge.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A strong command of written and spoken English.

Be prepared to work weekends and travel globally as required.

Valid driving license

Must be eligible to work in the UK at time of application.

Advantageous Skills/Experience

Setting up and calibrating camera tracking systems.

Practical experience with real-time virtual studio systems (e.g., Zero Density, Pixotope, Vizrt etc.)

Experience working with AR graphics.

Experience operating virtual studios.

Familiar with broadcast graphics systems and operation
