AE Live is a leading provider of television graphics. We offer graphics design, delivery, remote production, virtual studios and augmented reality solutions
AE Live (AE) is delighted to have launched a new graphics style for the start of the 2018 Pro Kabaddi League season. AE’s expert team of in-house designers have created a stylish new look, incorporating virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) elements, as well as graphics in five different languages for esteemed broadcaster Star Sports.
The graphics operation is being delivered both on-site at various venues and remotely at Star Sports’ hub in Mumbai. The on-site crews are producing VR content in both English and Hindi, using the camera data from Shotoku camera heads, to superimpose graphics on the court floor to denote phases of play, player profiles and scores. In addition to this, a variety of AR graphics are also being produced on-site, including the iconic jumbotron, using Stype on a jimmy jib, again in English and Hindi language.
Back at the production hub in Mumbai, an AE strong crew of five operators are producing core in-play and presentation graphics remotely in five separate languages, English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.
Time critical operations such as clock control and scoring are being run at the venues to drive the stadium big screens and countdown clocks. The same data is also being sent back to the remote production hub in Mumbai, where AE’s software applications can synchronise the data with the venue, handling any latency issues which will vary depending on whether the venues are connected to Mumbai via satellite or fibre.
With the league now well under way, AE is looking forward to the rest of the season which comprises of 138 matches in total, across 73 TX days.
