AE Live (AE) is excited to be delivering presentation graphics for Channel Nine’s coverage from the Australian Open. An eight strong crew consisting of graphics operators, engineering support and dedicated project management are a constant presence during the 14-day long competition.
In addition to standard broadcast graphics, AE has also developed a polling application that enables visitors to Channel Nine’s website to predict the outcome of selected matches, encouraging fan engagement and driving website activity. The polling system is being underpinned by AE’s real-time data platform, Aether. The system collects and stores poll results and allows the data to be accessed, real-time by AE’s suite of graphics software applications to put live results to air in graphics form.
Mark Bowden, AE’s Product Director commented, “We are delighted to be working with our long-term partners at Nine in delivering the ANZ Momentum Meter. The use cases for Aether are wide and varied and it’s exciting to see it being used on such a prestigious event”.
