AE Live (AE) is excited to be working on its eleventh consecutive Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament for the BCCI this weekend, as the competition gets underway with Saturday’s opening game between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
The global pandemic meant that this year’s IPL was forced to move from its usual April spot on the sporting calendar to September. A change of date is not the only difference to this year’s tournament with the IPL also being played outside of India for the first time since 2014.
AE will have three crews of five operators based at three venues in the UAE at Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah for the duration of the tournament providing a range of services. The crews will be delivering world feed match and presentation graphics, on-pitch and Spidercam augmented reality graphics and big screen content.
Away from the UAE, AE will also have a further 10 operators based at Star Sports India’s production hub in Mumbai who will be responsible for producing several additional multi-language feeds including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
