AE Live is a leading provider of television graphics. We offer graphics design, delivery, remote production, virtual studios and augmented reality solutions
AE Live (AE) delivered its services for Amazon Prime Video for the first time in December. The online giant made Premier League history by streaming all 10 matches live in the UK throughout Gameweek 15.
As well as being Amazon’s first foray into streaming live football in this territory, it is the first time that any pure streaming or OTT service has exclusively shown live Premier League matches in the UK.
Sunset+Vine (S+V), who are producing the coverage for Amazon, have called upon AE to deliver a range of presentation and in-play graphics. A new graphics look, provided by the brand agency DixonBaxi, has also been built for this much anticipated Premier League debut by AE’s in-house design team, in collaboration with Amazon and S+V.
AE is on-site for seven matches of Gameweek 15, from 3rd-5th December, and nine matches during Gameweek 19, from 26th-27th December. The graphics operation is being delivered from AE’s fleet of outside broadcast vans or from production trucks at certain games. A range of augmented reality (AR) content is also being delivered by AE operators and engineers for two of the matches, Liverpool v Everton (4th December) and Leicester v Liverpool (26th December) on Spidercam.
Mark Crawley, AE’s project manager for Amazon’s Premier League coverage commented, “It’s a great team of people delivering this production for Amazon and it’s a privilege to have our operators outputting the graphics from matches around the country. This is in collaboration with our AR operators working with Spidercam on select matches and our software and design teams delivering the graphics templates to the teams on-site.
It’s a really exciting time for AE with a whole host of matches across the next few weeks and over the Christmas period, we look forward to seeing Amazon’s coverage and continuing to work with them over the coming seasons”.
